Toddler Dance (Ages 2.5-3)

Designed for little dancers who want to explore the world of dance. Dancers will learn to follow instructions in a group setting while learning basic dance technique. Class will focus on coordination and creative movement.

Registration Fee – $50

  • A $50 non-refundable registration fee is due at enrollment for each dance season.

Toddler Tuition – $42

Toddler Class Tuition is broken into 9 even installments.

Performance Information

Toddler students will participate in 2 performance during the season: Winter and Spring. Family and friends are invited to our final class in December and May where dancers will perform a short presentation of what they’ve been working on, followed by snacks and treats. Students will be provided with costume pieces and accessories to wear for the showcases. Performance Fees are covered in your monthly tuition.

Dress Code


  • A leotard and pink tights are required. Skirts are also allowed, but if they become a distraction in class students will be asked to take them off or not wear them the next week. NO costumes or dresses. All outfits must be leotard based.
  • Pink Leather ballet shoes are required for all toddler and preschool classes.
  • Preschool I & II students should also wear black Mary Jane style tap shoes.


  • A white or black shirt with black shorts or pants are required.
  • Black ballet or slip on jazz shoes are required for all toddler and preschool classes.
  • Preschool I & II students should also wear black lace up tap shoes.

General Tuition Policies

  • Tuition is charged per student and calculated by hours taken in one week. We offer a 10% sibling discount.
  • Tuition is determined based on the total number of classes in the year (August – June) is broken into 10 even installments. Tuition is not determined by the number of classes in any particular month, as some months will have fewer classes and some months will have more.
  • Your first tuition payment is due Sept. 1 or at registration if registering after Sept. 1, 2018.
  • Tuition is due regardless of student absence. Missed classes are non-refundable. Tuition is NOT pro-rated for absences, inclement weather days, holidays, or Recital Picture Week.
  • Tuition will be pro-rated for students that enroll after classes have begun.
  • Tuition can be paid via credit card, debit card, personal check or automatic bank draft.
    • We require a credit card be kept on file and encourage payment by credit card.
    • Checks can be made out to: ROOTS Academy
    • After 7 days, a $15 late fee will be charged and enforced on all accounts past due. Late notices will be sent via email. Payments 20 days past due will result in lesson suspension. Payments 30 days past due will result in lesson termination and the date and time slot will be released for new students.

Withdrawal Policy

Enrollment at ROOTS Academy is for the entire season. However, we understand that extenuating circumstances sometimes necessitate withdrawal during the season.

  • Withdrawal from any class requires at least 2 weeks’ notice before your next billing due date (if you’re not sure what that date is, just ask!).
  • To withdraw from your classes, just submit your request using the Dance Withdrawal Form.
  • Withdrawal requests submitted up to 2 weeks before the next billing due date will incur no additional charges. Students remain on the schedule through the remainder of their billing cycle unless otherwise specified on the withdrawal form.
  • Withdrawals received within 2 weeks of the billing due date will owe 25% of their next bill. Students may attend one additional class for that following billing period.
  • Withdrawals received within 1 week of the billing due date will owe 50% of their next bill.
  • Students may attend two additional classes for that following billing period.
  • If a student chooses to re-enroll at any point after withdrawal, the current registration fee and tuition rates will apply.
