Is my billing date changing? How will this be reflected on my bill?

At the moment, your November tuition has been posted to your account and is reflected in your total balance due. For the month of November you may pay your balance anytime between now and the date of your previous billing due date.

Beginning December 1st, all ROOTS Dance tuition will be due on the 1st of the month each month. Automatic payments will be charged to your card on file on the 1st of each month (or the next business day if the 1st is on a weekend or holiday).

What if I paid during the month in October? If I pay again now, won’t I be paying double?

Tuition is broken up into even monthly payments based on the full year of classes. Tuition is not more in months where there are 5 classes or less in months where there are 3 classes. So if you joined before the year started or at the beginning of the month and were registered during all offered classes in that month, your tuition payment was applied to that month’s tuition regardless of the day you paid it.

If you registered after the year had begun and joined after 1 or more classes in a month, your tuition due that month was pro-rated. When you made a full month payment on your first class date, a portion of that payment was applied to the next month. This payment means that to get caught up you only owe a partial payment this month. Your full monthly tuition will then be due December 1st and every month thereafter.

What about late fees?

For the month of November, late fees will not be applied as long as you pay your balance by your previous due date.

Beginning in December a late fee of $15 will be applied to all outstanding balances on the 8th of each month. This includes attempted automatic payments that were declined. If your card on file is declined you will receive an email letting you know. It is your responsibility to update your payment method and re-run your payment before the 8th to avoid the late fee.

How do I sign up for automatic payments beginning December 1st?

Within your account there is an option to update your e-payment schedule. You can opt out of automatic payments by selecting “REGISTRATION FEE ONLY” as your e-payment schedule under the ‘My Account’ tab on your student portal.
