Cameron Cleland
This is a page description

Cameron Cleland (guitar • bass • ukulele) is a behind-the-scenes master who loves to create amazing experiences for both students and teachers. For Cameron, collaboration is key.

Originally from California, Cameron went to Belmont University where he received his B.A. in Music. He spent the last decade teaching music while also working in sound design and operation, live performance and digital marketing. Cameron is truly a jack-of-all-trades, as a music teacher for Music Start Studios, the social media manager at Horton Group and the sound designer for Circle Players. Prior to that, he was the worship coordinator and leader for Holy Trinity Community Church and Smyrna Baptist Church.

A highlight in Cameron’s career came in 2012 when he played guitar alongside Dave Hunt for youth conferences in front of 10,000 people. Since then, he’s enjoyed playing for a variety of musicals and collaborating with his wife on writing music for churches around the country.

Cameron first came to ROOTS to run sound for the 2017 Spring Showcase, and we’re excited to have him join our team as a mentor.

“I love working with students of all ages and passing on the seed of inspiration that music and give,” says Cameron. “I can give context and a clear path to my lessons, so even though each one is curated towards each student, I have the ‘next step’ ready.”
