Anna Carroll

Anna Carroll (voice) loves using the arts to teach people to be who they are meant to be. There’s been no doubt, she has found her own calling in musical theater and original work!

The Belmont University grad received the school’s highest honor, “The Margie,” for excellence in musical theater. Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Anna has worked with a variety of well known New York casting directors, producers and composers in her nine years of comedic acting, musical theater and improv experience: Chuck Wagner, Mike Eldred, Rachel Potter (Les Mis), Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid), Melinda Doolittle (Cinderella), Laura Bell Bundy and Denyce Graves (Christmas at Belmont) and Tina Marie, Kevin Kennison, Jennifer Waldmen, Mary Sugarman, Pasek and Paul, Ted Chapin (master classes).

Her shining moment came in the form of a solo during the professional production of Les Misérables at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville.

She has also spent some time in New York City studying acting and original work at the Stella Adler Conservatory.

But what she treasures is the ability to use her gifts and talent as worship to God. “It’s those moments when life ceases to be about ourselves and more about Him,” she says.

Some of her other accomplishments include being a part of a worship movement called “Awakening” for three years. With this ministry, she led worship monthly for the Nashville community and even a few churches in England.

Most recently, she went on a national tour with an original works arts troupe known as Epic Assemblies, where they used the arts along with their own personal stories to inspire students to “fight for life.”

Anna is passionate about the arts being present in schools and communities. When it comes to those she teaches, she’s best “at opening the eyes of my students to their full potential. I push them to go above and beyond what they think they are capable of.”

You can find her reading and writing at her local favorite spot, Frothy Monkey, during her down time.
