Kyle Tupper (drums) is a musician and educator that recently relocated to Franklin TN.  Kyle had been a freelance musician as well as a bandleader in the Northern New York area before moving down south. He attended The Crane School of Music located in Potsdam NY from 2007-2012. During this time, Kyle studied percussion with world-renowned percussionist Jim Petercsak.

After he graduated, Kyle took his talents onboard the Pacific Jewel, a cruise ship that toured the islands around Sydney Australia and went as far as Fiji and New Zealand. While onboard, Kyle was able to work with musicians and entertainers from all over the world from Classical Violinists, to Smooth Jazz Saxophonists and even world class Magicians.

He returned to the states in March in 2013 and started teaching in the same public school system that provided so much for him while growing up. His first position was working at his hometown high school teaching grades 7-12 instrumental music. This included directing ensembles such as Senior Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo and Music Alternatives. Kyle then went on to teach at several other districts in the area including Norwood-Norfolk Central School, St. Lawrence Central School, Heuvelton Central School and Hermon-DeKalb Central School. While at these districts, Kyle served sometimes as the instrumental instructor, and other times as the choral instructor.

Outside of public education, Kyle also taught in the privately. While teaching public school he managed to also work for St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY as the Adjunct Professor of Percussion and Wind Ensemble Director. Kyle also worked for a private lessons company, Musical Way Academy where he gave lessons to students on drums/percussion, voice, and piano.

As a player, Kyle has spent the past four years as bandleader of R&B band KTX, originally his college band that was reformed in early 2014. KTX is still in demand and has a tour scheduled for the North Country in the fall of 2018. Kyle is also a sought after solo artist performing cocktail hour music for dinner parties as well as being a musician for pit orchestras, wind ensembles and recording sessions.
