Hi! My name is Kyle Chowning and I have a big announcement!
On August 31, 2012, Nate & Sarah Sallie closed on the sale of the School of Worship. The new owners? Well, that’s me and my wife, Kristy. Hi there!
Over the past couple of months, I’ve gotten to know many of you by name as I’ve poured through the company records seeking to understand the ins and outs of the school.
Many of you are current families/students, some of you are not. I wanted to reach out to everybody because your involvement in the School of Worship to-date has been critical to the foundation of what it is today.
The growth of this school over the past few years has been marked by two key indicators: increase in the number of students (it’s grown over 50% since 2010) and more importantly, the maturity—technical and spiritual—of your students.
Kristy and I couldn’t be more thrilled, honored and humbled to become the stewards of the vision that so many of you have believed and invested into. This next season is going to be fun!
Naturally, transition bring questions, so I thought I’d take a few minutes to address a few:
Q: Will there be any immediate changes?
A: Not a lot…at least not right now. Most of the changes will be behind the scenes, with exception of the slight lobby rearrangement this week. 🙂
Q: Will lessons, band and dance continue as planned?
A: Absolutely. Both band and dance started this week, while lessons have continued uninterrupted.
Q: Who are you?
A: Kristy and I have been married for 13 years in October. We have three kids: Savannah (5), Caleb (3) and Daniel (1). We just relocatedback to Nashville 12 days ago to take over the school. Being that this is our third move to Nashville, we’re thrilled to be home—again and finally! The school is a perfect mix of my degrees: business major, music minor. I’m also a social media fanatic, which makes it easy to find me on my blog, Facebook and Twitter. Let’s connect!
I’m sure that this Q&A doesn’t answer every question so I’d like to invite you to email, call (615-804-1177) or stop by during office hours, Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm and say hello! With exception to the occasional business meeting or trip, you’ll find me in the office daily. I’d love to meet you.
I couldn’t be more excited to be writing you! What’s been built at the School of Worship is very special. Both Kristy and I are excited to be a part of it!
See you soon,
—Kyle (& Kristy) Chowning
PS. I would love to hear your feedback and suggestions. Feel free to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) any time.
