Q&A with Dennis
Where do you look for creative inspiration?
“Talking to people inspires me to be creative. I very often walk away from conversations with a new idea about something. I also try to listen to new music and try to learn how a particular artist arrived where they are musically.”
What causes are you passionate about?
“I am UN-apologetically pro-life! Children are SO important! After that… I’m big believer in living within your means and having no debt. Ultimately I think both of these issues can be resolved by getting to know Jesus. I’m pretty passionate about his cause as well!”
What’s your favorite local spot to spend time at when you’re not working & what do you do there?
“When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out at home with my wife Martyne and my daughter Zoe. We’re usually watching movies or playing games or just goofing off. When my wife and I go out, we love heading over to M L Rose on 8th for a tasty burger! Recently we tried out The Escape Game in Nashville and I think that will be a new hobby.”
What type of music did you grow up listening to?
“The first album I bought with my own money was REM’s Out of Time. I was also pretty into Christian Rock back in the day and I had a lot of Petra records growing up. Third Day and Jars of Clay were a big deal too. Seattle Grunge hit when I was in high school so I was big in that scene as well.”
If you could meet one author, performer who would it be and what would you ask them?
“C.S. Lewis, and I’d probably just give him a big ole hug.”
What is your favorite quote?
“The grass is greener where you water it.” -Neil Barringham
