ROOTS Academy is proud to introduce our newest voice mentor, Erica Smith!
“The students who excel with me are the ones who want to move people through song.”
Erica Smith knows a thing or two about that.
The Roswell, Georgia, native moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music.
Since then, she’s toured professionally as country artist “Erica Bryan” and has worked with Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Matthew West in the music industry.
She has a degree in musical theatre from Samford University and has been featured by CM Chat Live, American Songwriter, For the Country Record, One Stop Country and others. Her biggest spotlight moment to date was “Kelly Clarkson telling me that she watched my music video … and loved it!”
What most excites her about her work is “when a song relates to someone else going through the same thing.”
In other words, moving people through song.
When she’s not doing that, you can find Erica watching Netflix or sipping coffee on her back porch. Here’s a little more about Erica.
