For the past 4-5 years I’ve had a dream of being involved in a city-wide gathering where we could corporately dive deep in worship with no agenda but to spend time with the Lord. Yes, church allows for times like these, but oftentimes worship is limited to facilitate the other elements of a traditional service.
Recently, I’ve thought about how the Lord has orchestrated the team at ROOTS for a purpose; it’s no accident. If you combined everybody here into a band, you’d have quite a talented group. Well, this idea, dream and I daresay, vision is becoming reality.
On Friday, April 5, we will host our first worship night from 8-9:30ish. Our own Stephanie Skipper will be leading worship alongside some of our mentors and local musicians. The focus of our time will simply be to seek the face of God.
I’d like to invite you to come and bring your friends too. It’s open to the community and all are welcome.
In the end, only God knows where this is going, what the future beholds and what will happen in the process. For now, we’ll just start and see what He does.
I hope you can join us.
